Like an ice cream cone under the sun, Froyo (2.2) vanished from the Google platform.

In the figures of adoption of the various versions of Android, Froyo is no longer included with any kind of presence, showing that there is no longer any phone in the world with that operating system, which was released in 2010 and it received its last update a year later.

Google says that the versions listed on your site are those that have more than 0.1 percent of the presence. In addition, counts and analyzes all Android device that connects to the Play Store in a span of 30 days.

it Was only a matter of time for Froyo, a version so old it dates back nearly seven years ago, disappeared from Android. Now, the flavor lasts longer counted by Google is Gingerbread, versions 2.3.3 to 2.3.7, and with a presence of the 1 percent.

Nougat at a snail’s pace

instead of being illustrated by an image of this syrupy sweet, Android Nougat should have as a logo the image of a turtle.

almost half A year of availability, Android 7.0 has only between 0.2 and 0.5 percent adoption, depending on the version (taking into account that Google already released up to version 7.1.1).

it Is very possible that from now on (and especially February and march), get new phones with Android Nougat pre-installed that help to increase the participation of the operating system. Currently, few phones have the operating system. Not counting the Nexus and Pixel some models of the Moto Z and the V20 of LG are some of the lucky ones who are already running this version.
