How to stream from your Android device to your TV – CNET in Spanish

to Stream from your Android device and mirror that content on the screen of your TV can be useful when you want to make a presentation, show photos of your latest trip, or playing a game mobile.

To display the content of your cell phone or tablet you will need a device with at least Android 4.4.2, as well as a device Chromecast or a TV with Chromecast built-in.

Usually you can check the version of Android that runs your device by going to Settings > About phone and find “Version Android“.

Google said on its support page that any device running Android 4.4.2 and later has the ability to stream content to a TV; however, some perform this task better than others. Furthermore, the company shared a list of the best devices for this purpose.

How is it that one transmits content from an Android device to a tv screen? It is quite easy.

  • make Sure you download the app Google Home to your Android device. You can get it in the Google Play store.
  • make Sure that your tablet or phone is connected to the same Wifi network that your device Chromecast.
  • After you open the app Google Home, the menu opens, folding in the top left and choose the button to send to the screen.
  • Press the blue button, followed by the device to which you want to convey the content.

Another method available on some devices can be found in the bar of quick settings, which is located by sliding down from the top of the screen of your mobile. If the button Cast or Screen Cast is present, you can select it and then choose the device where you want to send the content.
