Nvidia launched at the CES show in Las Vegas and new devices that take advantage of Google Assistant to provide a better service. Jen-Hsun Huang, president and ceo of the company, was responsible for presenting the update to the Nvidia Shield Android TV, which will cost US$ 199, and the new Nvidia Spot, a microphone for Artificial Intelligence.

Huang said that in conjunction with Google thought that instead of offering two devices — a box of streaming and a loudspeaker with AI –, it was better to offer one. And thus was born the idea of incorporating Google Assistant to the Nvidia Shield Android TV.

Although Nvidia is mostly known for its graphic chips, lately they have been expanding into new markets such as automation and artificial intelligence. At CES 2013, the company surprised with its first device Shield, and since then the company has introduced a tablet — that had problems with the batteries — and other devices.

The new Shield Android TV includes support for HDR 4K for the catalogs of Amazon and Netflix, as well as YouTube, Google Play Movies and VUDU. There will also be a pro version of Shield at the end of this month, which will include remote-control-port jack 3.5 mm headphone jack and 500GB of storage.

The Nvidia Spot, meanwhile, is a device round that can be connected to the wall in different rooms of the house, which allows Google Assistant can hear you where you are.

Google announced during CES 2017 that Google Assistant will come to more devices soon this year, not just Android TV, but also Android Wear.
