XBMC finally has a dedicated version for Android - The Android Free

xbmc-android-google-play.jpg

Is it true what it says in the title? But XBMC not available for Android for several months? Yes, even the latest version is available for Android, but let’s face it, is just a port. Now there is a different version, a dedicated version of Android end users, and developers have been prepared exclusive. Want to know more about it and install it on your tablet or your smartphone? Then you are in the right place …

Android XBMC team (XAF) is a group of developers working for this solution media center is the best for Android users and not just a port , as is so far. And I have managed to release the first stable version of its client for Android.

But start correctly. Do not you know that is XBMC? is a software that acts as a Media Center and is available for Windows, Mac OS X, iOS and Android. No longer just a player, but it also serves as streaming content interface, accessing these pages where hosted this content through small extensions that make these pages are integrated into the software so to speak. This causes XBMC is one of the best (and more customizable), if not the best, solutions of this kind.

But so far version available (and still is) had focused on hardware support, but not so much with the software and the end user experience of Android, and what they do from XAF is precisely to consider these aspects to launch its custom build . And I say, there’s finally a stable final version.

xbmc1 neon Neon or not?

First of all we need to know if your device is neon or neon not . What’s this? Depending on the CPU we have our Android (smartphone, tablet, miniPC, netbook …) will be neon or neon, and this distinction is needed to continue with the installation, in both cases we can move on, but the software is different for each and others.

There is a clear list of devices that are and are not, but to summarize, more or less if your device has less than one and a half (since it was launched, not since you have it) is probably neon . But to make sure, what you have to do is open a file browser with search capability by name (ES File Explorer, Astro …) and go to the root directory, and find “cpuinfo”. You will find a file with this name and we will open it with a text reader (. Txt I mean). Almost all have one preinstalled, but if not, simply instalĂ©is Dropbox, which integrates one in your software. In the first line with a lot of text you will see different words that refer to CPU capabilities. If one of those words is “neon”, your device is neon, if it is not, then not. Let’s see a quick video to better understand these steps.

First step: MX Player

Now you will have to install MX Player, one of the best players gotten in Google Play, but depending on whether or not Neon Neon, will have to download and install either of the following links.

MX Player (apk) | NEON | NEON No

corresponding unloaded and installed (remember to enable the “Unknown sources” in Settings / Security).

MX Player

and we opened it, only this.

Second step: choose your XBMC XAF

Android

Depending on what you have, you need to download and install the software behind each of the following links. For example, if you want to install XBMC on a miniPC that will serve as set-top box (media player) or a netbook will your link, whether it is for a tablet or a smartphone (touch screen devices), depend simply new if Neon Neon or not.

XBMC XAF (apk) | For devices without a touchscreen | For touchscreen devices NEON | For touchscreen devices NEON NO

After installation and we just open the app to XBMC, wait one minute to do all the downloads necessary for initial installation and voilĂ  , have it ready to enjoy.

With this we leave, we hope you enjoy the visual experience that brings you this solution. Comentadnos what you think in the comments.
