Hangouts for Android and allows you to pick from notifications – CNET in Spanish

Nicole Cozma / CNET

Our prayers were answered.

Finally, the Hangouts messaging app for Android received an update to version 7.0 and is now possible to answer messages from notifications.

This update is available from Wednesday and is reaching so users gradual, according to the site Android Authority. At press time, the update was not on the Play Store in Mexico, as still appears to version 6.1.1 is the latest.

The support of the quick answers is something that Android is slowly implemented. Now, when you receive a message notification on Hangouts, users can touch the notification and a response field will be displayed to enter text. Once written response, you can send the message – all without entering the application Hangouts.

Version 7.0 of the app also includes the option to create direct links to talks. With this, you can now create an icon on the home screen of the most used conversations. For this, enter a conversation from the Hangouts app, press the Settings (three dots icon) and select the option to create shortcut on the desktop. Immediately an icon with the contact picture is created.

Visit the Play store to download the latest version of Hangouts. Remember it is a gradual upgrade, so be patient if your app has not yet updated to version 7.0.

The addition of the quick response is good news for Android, iOS since it is common that allow applications to respond from the notifications. Android, on this issue, has taken some time to add it, and the only option is to answer notifications from using third party applications.
