Uptodown, international application download site, released its annual ranking of the most successful Android apps by 2015. With over 80 million downloads per month, the platform has become a reference point When studying the habits of users, currently the most widely used service only under Google Play.
The following data correspond to the TOP 100 most downloaded applications of the 17 thousand available on Android, obtaining interesting results of the global market. As for nationality applications, United States (41%) leads the top, followed by China (21%), UK (6%), Spain (4%) and South Korea (4%).
About the type of apps, most downloaded correspond to the categories of video (12%), shock (10%), social (8%), casual games (8%) and networks (7%). Regarding development studies, leads with 4 Google apps, followed by Cheetah Mobile (3) Facebook (3) and EA Swiss Sarl (3).
The three apps most downloaded the total are TubeMate YouTube Downloader, WhatsApp Messenger and Facebook. The only difference from 2014 is the inclusion of the popular social network to the detriment of extinct WhatsApp Plus, removed last April at the express request of WhatsApp.
