New malware infects Android users in over 20 countries – unocero

and cyber security firm that has tracked FireEye announced a new malware threat in more than 20 countries around the world, including USA , is called Kemoge and passed for common applications Android , which users install through advertising.

On the surface, these applications are a duplicate those that can be found on the Play Store Google , and Smart Touch, Calculator, Talking Tom, Light Browser, Privacy Lock and Easy Locker, except that attacking the user device after installation.

The way this works is that the attacker up applications to third-party online stores and promote download links through various sites and advertising within other programs. One time installed, Kemoge collects device information and goes to their own servers

 It has also been reported that the malware is able to access the root access equipment users and modify the contents of the phone. According to FireEye, the most vulnerable are those devices Kemoge brands Samsung , HTC and Motorola .
